Janja Sesar has been the Director of Pogon since 2017. She graduated in Croatian and German Language and Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb and earned a Master’s Degree in Cultural and Media Management from the Free University in Berlin. She worked as a Coordinator at Alliance Operation City and was the Editor and Manager of Kulturpunkt.hr, an Internet portal for independent culture, contemporary art and civil society. In the past fifteen years she has participated in the organization of various national and international cultural projects, including the presentation and organization of the “New Tendencies“ exhibition at Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM) in Karlsruhe. She has participated in various conferences, workshops and seminars, both as a speaker and moderator, and has received several scholarships from the German Service for Academic Exchange (DAAD). She was invited by the US State Department to take part in the International Visitors Leadership Programme in 2014, as well as to the Cultural Diplomacy Platform organized by the European Commission on Malta in 2016. She likes movies, travel and learning foreign languages.
Senior Associate for Cultural Programs and International Cooperation

Sonja Soldo worked as a Programme Coordinator at Pogon between 2009 and 2015, and in 2016 she became a Senior Associate for Cultural Programmes and International Cooperation, where she also managed an artist exchange programme with the Akademie Schloss Solitude. Since 2004 she has managed various projects and programmes in the field of independent culture. Between 2004 and 2012 she worked at [BLOK] Association (a curatorial collective) on projects in the field of art in the public space. She was the Co-Manager of UrbanFestival between 2006 and 2009 and the Art Programme Coordinator of the manifestation Operation:City in 2005 and 2008, which was the result of collaboration between independent cultural scene organizations in Zagreb.
Finance and Administration Manager

Graziella Bokor graduated in Tourism from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb. She worked in tourism sales and as a travel agency manager for ten years. Since 2006 she has worked in profit and not-for-profit accounting and finance. She was appointed the Finance and Administration Manager at Pogon in 2016. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, running and skiing with her little family.

From 2003, Željko Bašković worked in production and management in culture; for ten years as a lighting and sound technician and designer, and for seven years as a programme and technical equipment organizer and coordinator at art events. He worked on numerous, i.e. over 700, successfully implemented programmes. Since 2016 he has been the Manager of Pogon Jedinstvo. He is also engaged in concert lighting and analogue video art and has participated in two solo and several group exhibitions and festivals. In his free time, he enjoys being in the woods, loves Italian cuisine, experimental music and good company.

Marijana Rimanić graduated in Art History and Comparative Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. She started working at Pogon in 2011, first as a Programme Coordinator, and later as Manager of Communications and Marketing. After graduation she worked on the Croatian Radiotelevision as a journalist for “Transfer“, a TV show about alternative culture and art, and later as a Co-Curator of UrbanFestivala at [BLOK] Association. She also works at the Multimedia Institute as Manager of MaMa, cultural and social centre. In her free time, she daydreams about having a cashmere goat farm.
Matea Munitić Mihovilović

Matea Munitić Mihovilović graduated in Sociology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split. She has been employed at Pogon since 2014; first as a Programme Activities Coordinator within an in-service training programme, and in 2016 she became a Programme Activities Manager and Coordinator. In her free time she runs half-marathons.

Ida Jagar has worked in Pogon since February 2019 as a coordinator of program activities. She graduated English language and literature and Spanish language and literature at the Faculty of humanities and social sciences in Zagreb. During her study and after graduating she was part of many projects connected to contemporary art and independent culture - as a translator and volunteer in production. From 2013 to 2015 she worked in Kurziv - Platform for Matters of Culture, Media and Society, as a assistant to the project coordinator,, and occasionally as an editor and journalist on the portal Kulturpunkt.hr. Since 2013 she has worked as a member of the translations team for all catalogue publications for Kontejner, as well as a on Extravagant Bodies, device_art and Touch Me! festivals. Parallel to her work in the field of culture, she has worked as an English language teacher in foreign language schools. In her free time she writes a blog about bizarre books and practices yoga.
Coordinator of Technique
Filip Pacak graduated at the School of Audio Engeneering Institute in Ljubljana and has worked in sound production since 2013. His path on the independent scene started in club Močvara where, beside working as technician, he also runs audience development and volunteering projects. Occasionally he also works in other clubs in Zagreb and Croatia as a sound tehnician. He became a member of the Pogon team in 2019. where he is working as a coordinator of technique. He has his own association, Subsonic Events, which promotes extreme and alternative underground genres. In his free time he enojys caving, biking and climbing.
Sanja Akrap Luque
Sanja Akrap Luque graduated at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb, International trade course. After working for years in insurance busyness, she tried her luck as an entrepreneur as well as enrolled with the non-profit sector. She is volunteering for SO DO – El Sistema Croatia, an association that is dealing with social development of children and youth through playing in a symphony orchestra. She is volunteering on administrative and secretarial jobs, but she has also implemented EU projects that expand the work of the association to Istria. She works in Pogon since 2019 as an secretary-administrative officer. She loves her children, as well as children of SO DO and she is spending all of her leisure time with them.
